Pocket Classics Overview
The Pocket Classics series is the newest series to be added to Everyman's. Its first publication was a single title
in 2007 - Christmas Stories. Since then it has added from one to four titles each year. Almost all are anthologies -
the exceptions are two volumes of short stories by John Updike, and a volume of stories by Saki.
I count 34 titles in the series. All are still available, though Updike's Maples Stories is no longer listed in the UK,
and Stories of Southern Italy (October 2022 in the US) has not yet (December 2022) appeared on the UK publisher's listing.
The books are larger than the Pocket Poets series, and typically run around 400 pages. Like the regular classics they
have good paper, cloth covers, and sown bindings.
